The Orientation to Leadership and Management E-Learning Series supports staff moving from technical expert to first-time manager using a blended learning approach. The first module is free, followed by 7 live online webinars.

The Orientation to Leadership and Management E-Learning Series, offered by VHIA in partnership with The Medical Technology Association of Australia, enables participants to;
  • develop an awareness of the management and leadership skills required to undertake a management role;
  • gain knowledge in key areas of the management function and the links between an organisations strategic and business goals and effective management; and
  • develop an understanding of key responsibilities of managers and the changes in working relationships new managers will experience and respond to.

Webinars are hosted by Helen Kierce, Training Manager, VHIA and each features a guest presenter.

The e-learning series is conducted over a three month period. A free online self-paced module funded through the Australian Flexible Learning Framework is included followed by seven webinars presented by experts in the field. A link to the the self-paced module will be sent to registered participants once bookings close.
Please note the series is limited to 12 participants to allow maximum interaction.

This learning series is aligned to the unit of competency BSBMGT605A: Provide Leadership Across the Organisation.
Satisfactory completion of optional assessment tasks may lead to the award of a Statement of Attainment for this unit of competency. (Contact VHIA Training for details on assessment costs)

There is no recommended pre-requisite training.
